Verdant Esports Club is proud to announce that Managing Director Sam Cunningham has been appointed Vice-Chair of the UK Esports Team Committee (UKETC), effective April 2025. This appointment marks a significant milestone in Verdant’s growing influence within the UK esports ecosystem and underlines its commitment to collaborative governance and sustainable development across the industry.
Sam Cunningham has been an active member of the UKETC since July 2024, representing Verdant following its formal invitation to join the committee. In his new leadership role, he will support the Chair, Jeff Simpkins, in guiding strategic initiatives, promoting inclusivity and professional standards, and helping shape the future of UK esports alongside other prominent team leaders.

The appointment follows the departure of the former Vice-Chair, Jack Stovell, in early April. With Verdant EC now in a senior leadership position within the UKETC, the organisation looks forward to contributing meaningfully to the future of esports in the United Kingdom.
